Windows
I surprised nothing is on here about the failed “window regulators” on 2000 Jettas and Golfs. Mine failed once. Cost me $400 to fix. But, VW reimbursed me. A little over a year later, the regulator failed again (nothing like not getting it right the second time) and this time, water got into the door panel (it rains sometimes) and fried the window motor. Another $350 and VW said they won’t pay. Thanks.

Windows – I received a notice that this had been resolved by way of a class action lawsuit – even though I never had the problem it said that the warranty would be extended to 7 years or something…. Ill get the details and post them here.

Windows – I too received notice about a class action lawsuit regarding window regualtors (letter is a round here somwhere). I know this was a popular subject on Yahoos VW site and the only thing surpising is how long it took to get a lawsuit.

Windows – My windows have also failed… along with stuff just “falling off”….i think it’s time we do something about more than just the windows. I’ve posted a message about it….. please take a minute to read it. I’m in the same boat you guys are!

Windows – Yes, my window on the front passenger side also failed. Local VW dealership took care of it for free. WHAT A SURPRISE…They fix it with the same faulty window clip. Amazing, huh?

Windows – 2001 JETTA…yes this is a failed item on my car..not once, not twice but i am on the 3rd failure….they must feel a need to pay and pay and pay until they get this corrected, that makes no business sense. Using parts that are prone to do the same thing again is ???I am not sure…easy to order, or they have surplus stock to get rid of. This is not the best way to try and sercure future business…..NOT MINE
