Great VWs!
I’ve owned three.
The older air-cooled had problems all the time. But they’ve increased in value since I’ve owned them. What kind of used car increses in value?
Then I bought a Jetta Wagon TDI. The car is fantastic. Fifty Plus thousand miles without a single problem whatsoever. And, it gets 50mpg on vegetable oil. Incredible.
All of my friends call it ‘the Supercar’.

Great VWs! – All I can say is, I WISH I liked my car as much as you like yours. After all, who would spend that kind of money for something they hate?
I have to assume, though, that you didn’t have the kinds of problems with your car that you’re seeing here or you’d probably be as unhappy as some of us.

Great VWs! – Just be prepared for that car to take a dive and very soon. It seems that most of my friends VW’s start showing signs of wear and tear around the 40-50k mark. I bet the transmission goes soon. Supercar?!?! Your about run into some Kryptonite.

Great VWs! – How long have you owned each of the three? You either chose good years to buy or you’ve not had the cars long enought for stuff to go wrong.
VW had some really good years in their history, but unfortunately, they suck right now. Just be glad your car is working!

Great VWs! – I dont care what you say. Volkswagen entraps yuppies who want high design and don’t realize that youre only paying for a wrapper. My car has been a money pit from Day 1.
