I hate my jetta

Seriously Jetta was what i wanted all along didnt think i can afford one but got one eventually.

I thought my car was cursed but after doing a research on the web noticed that it is not just my car. What is going on??

My car had problems within couple months.

replace my rear breaks
Engine sign kept on blinking
Seat memory didnt work
Replaced oil pan twice already
Replaced ignition coil. Customer service denied that there is a recall….
Water pipe replaced

One good thing i am leasing it..The customer service is the rudest people that i have to deal with so far. Their favorite line “” sorry for not keeping up with your expectations”" Who says that??? Do something.

I will never never buy anything that was manufactured by VW.. I still have outstanding issues. Tired of taking the car back to the dealer and wasting my time.

It has been the worst experience in my life.

I hate my jetta – Sezin – spread the word in your area.

File a DETAILED complaint with your Attorney General. They will look at the complaints if there are enough.

I’m leasing my vehicle, too, and I’ve still got over a year to go. I don’t want to put up with my car for another 18 months!

While on the web last night I found a site where people were comlplaining of major problems! AIRBAGS DEPLOYING AT RANDOM CAUSING ACCIDENTS! This really concerns me. I feel like I’m driving a ticking time bomb that could explode at any moment.

I put some links in one of my posts, check them out.

    Good luck!

I hate my jetta – I got the same attitude from the service manager at the dealer I take my car to. I quote, “”There are some people that will have rattle problems with their car until the day they sell it.”" Yes, that was you Tom S., from Carter VW in Seattle. I couldn’t believe it! I had traded in a 98 Jetta GT to get a 2003 Jetta TDI. All of the sudden “”I”" have a rattle problem? The 98 was tight and had no problems other than typical consumables, i.e. pads, clutch, etc. That is the reason that I chose to buy another Jetta as my first new car.

Several times when I came in for a problem I felt like I was inconveniencing them. Well sorry VW dealer, but I really do need the brakes to work. Oh yeah, one more thing, they ALWAYS claim that the have never heard of the problems that I am having!

I talked to the sales manager and the general manager after that. They were both very nice. But, the resolution was that they would try to improve communication. Nothing about the problems with the car. Unfortunately, I recommended that dealer to a friend at work. His son bought a car from them and had similar bad experiences.

So, I have done my part. At least 3 other people I know have NOT bought VWs based on the problems I?e encountered. Actually, it wasn? even the car problems that turned them off, it was the problems I?e had had at the dealer.

I hate my jetta – I meant, after my co-worker’s son bought a car from them, I talked 3 other friends out of VW’s.

I hate my jetta – What model is your car. If it is a 1.8L from years 2001 to some 2003 (I think) you should qualify for the recall on the ignition coils. Check out the VW web site to be sure, or you can call the “VW ADVOCATES” (awesome name by the way!) and give them your VIN # and they will be able to tell you if your car applies. At the least you should be able to get your money back! I’ve now had to replace both Oxygen sensors and VW doesn’t even guarantee that this is the real problem, there is a 10% chance that its the catalytic converter. The CC is covered by a Federally Mandated Warranty, and if we have to fix the CC, VW won’t refund my money for ‘fixing’ the O2 sensors, even though it would be unnessessary. You gotta love a big corportation that takes advantage of its size!

I hate my jetta – Windows broken, cable snapped inside the door. Runs hot and the engine light has been on since I bought it. It is a 2000 TDI, it skippes jumpes, knockes and vibrates. Every piece of plastic in it is broken, arm rest, cup holders, ect. You can’t find anyone to work on them, and when you do it cost a fortune and the problem is never quiet fixed. One problem after another, I just want to let them come and get it. I’m tired of paying for a piece of crap! Worst experience ever besides marriage!
