2001 Jetta GLX (POS)
I cannot believe I payed this much for this car. In the last year I have replaced the headlights, two turnsignals, the CD player stopped working,the wipers stopped working, the key switch died, the check engine light mysteriously went on at 30K and The fuel mixture switch died (this one was covered under the warrenty but did cost me $149.00. Then two weeks later the #$%@#$ starter went out and the wait time to have it in the VW shop was two weeks. So I had to do it myself. The starter repair shop I took it to told me that all I really bought was a Kia with a high performance engine. I am so pissed I won’t even drink German Beer anymore. I only owe 1 more year on this thing, Are these good cars or should I have gotten the Honda. The thing that really pisses me of is that when we bought this car VW made it sound like this was the last car I would ever buy. And would only buy VW’s in the future. O-Man are they wrong or am I just over reacting?

2001 Jetta GLX (POS) – No, you’re not over-reacting, yes, you probably should have bought a Honda (But the 2001 Honda Civics have had even more consumer complaints than the 2001 Jetta). Sorry you’re dealing with this!

2001 Jetta GLX (POS) – Your not over-reacting, however this will be the last VW you will probably ever buy in your life. See its the whole marketing of VW that sucked you in, LOL. I’m not laughing at you, I’m laughing with you b/c I’m a sucker in a VW too. I made a realization the other day. Do you know why VW drivers are so nice to other VW drivers on the road, its b/c we look and have pity that they are also driving a hunk of junk. Just my theory.
