IS Passat a German Car?
I can imagine How bad of VW’s manufacturing skill after i owned a Passat. It just a trouble maker and ruined German mechanical reputation over 100 years.
It keep creating trouble for me during 3 years. sometimes, I am just fraid to drive it.

IS Passat a German Car? – My engine seized after 18k miles how do you think I feel? I really wish I would have done my homework. I spoke to so many people that said they would never buy another VW. Now I know why.

IS Passat a German Car? – Do you guy’s work on cars much? If you do than you know that things on all cars break. Every American car I’ve ever owned was a piece of crap. My jetta has now seen over 285k miles and still going strong.
I would never own another brand.

IS Passat a German Car? – Gee fstgrmn, it must be nice to have your own parts company. I bet it makes keeping your VW in one piece a whole lot easier. I think you are missing the point that a large number of VW buyers are experiencing the same type of problems with their NEW cars. I am really glad that you are close to 300K with your VW. That fact, unfortunately, does not make up for the numerous problems I have encountered since March of 2004. It also does not help me cope with a dealer network that is unresponsive and uncooperative.
All you guys and gals with eleventy billion miles on your cars need to come back down to our level and understand one thing. These are brand new cars requiring repeated major repair work before the standard warranty has expired and VW of NA refuses to be held responsible.
And I happen to know a little something about cars.
The little something I know about cars…
