VW Jetta starts and then dies
I have a 2001 Jetta that when I try to start the car it starts but then immediately dies. HAs anyone experienced this or have any thoughts as to what could be wrong?

VW Jetta starts and then dies – YOU MIGHT WANT TO SEE IF A DASH LIGHT THAT LOOKS LIKE A CAR WITH A KEY SYMBOL INSIDE POPS UP YOUR KEY MIGHT HAVE LOST ITS PROGRAMMING ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE NOT USED THE KEY IN A WHILE

VW Jetta starts and then dies – I am having this problem right now and came across your posting while researching it. I have a 2001 VR6 that dies after starting. If I give it gas it will run but die while driving or coming to a stop. It’s being fixed by a local mechanic but after researching it could be O2 sensor or ignition coil which happen to be recalls. Let me know what happend.
