I love my VW
I love my VW. Every moment of it. Its a great car inside and out. Its such an awesome car. I know VW sucks when it comes to warranty issues but I love my car and I would buy another VW.

I love my VW – This is true. Electrical and a few mechanical problems from the new MkIV platform abounded, particularly since it was an electronics-heavy platform in the first place.
They worked out most of the kinks from the system by 2001MY.
Of course, the new MkV is coming out now, with a brand new technology in its engine (FSI – fuel stratified injection), that makes a normally-aspirated 2.0L engine hit over 200hp.
That and it looks like a Matrix… like every other new hatchback model on the planet.

I love my VW – I love mine too, and I’ve owned hondas, suzukis, fords, chryslers, mazdas… and I’ll never buy another one of them again.
One point – there was a mfg defect that came to light in the first week, but it was fixed o-w.

Coils went on 02, but that happend worldwide on all VW/Audi.
Love em all.
Primarily problems with Mexico built cars, and 00-01 Passats from what I hear

I love my VW – i loved my 2000 jetta for the first week. then it got stuck in park. then it wouldn’t start. i had it in the shop 7 or 8 times in the first four months. that is extremely frustrating on a new car. It has continued for the past 5 years and i think it is horrible. Trust me, i never wanted to hate vw. It was my first new car and i so excited about it. But they totally screwed me.

I love my VW – Unfortunately this is my first new car as well. I have been at the service center at least once a month since Dec. 2003. It’s such an inconvenience, although I haven’t had the severe mechanical problems that other people seem to be running in to.

I love my VW – I owned a 97 Jetta and then traded it in for a 01 Audi A4. We drive a hard 20K miles annually, mostly in the mountains. In contrast to what I’ve read on this site, both cars have been excellent, reliable vehicles.
