Window Issues

I have a 2000 Passat and the window clips broke on it the other day. I am being told that I cannot get just the clips and that I have to spend $150+ for the regulator package. Does anyone know if the clips for the Jetta are the same as the ones or interchangable for the Passat? And has this been a common occurance on the Passat like it has been with the Jetta?

    Window Issues – The Passat is not covered under the 7-year window regulator extended warranty (1998-2002 New Beetles and 1999-2002 Golfs, GTIs and Jettas).

    Ask for the VW part numbers for the regulator packages they are quoting. Search for them on Impex and see if they are cheaper there. You can also call another dealership, give them the part numbers, and ask for what car(s) it is for.

    Window Issues – Thanks, I contacted my local VW dealer and was able to find the repair kit for a resonable price.
