After Windows Warranty Extension Problems
After my windows were repaired the alarm and locks have been acting up. VW seems to think that its not related and I have to get it diagnosed but them to tell me if it is related. Anyone else have this experience? CB

After Windows Warranty Extension Problems – Let me guess, 3 YEARS!!!…..or LESS!!!
Seriously, if it’s a VARTA brand OEM original, you should have replaced it as soon as you drove the car off the dealer’s lot IMO. VARTA batteries are junk. No surprise that it’s OEM on Volksyugos!

After Windows Warranty Extension Problems – How long after the window repair did the problem start? I am a VW service manager and if your problem started within a month of my tech being in your door panel (even if he didn’t cause it ) I would fix your car and beg your forgiveness

After Windows Warranty Extension Problems – My car is a 2000 and I have never changed the battery. It started immediately after they did work on my car.

After Windows Warranty Extension Problems – It’s possible that while working on the car the battery was disconnected, and the battery drained enough that it is now close to dying.
Try a new battery… it’s time to get one, anyway.

After Windows Warranty Extension Problems – or another cause may be the door latch itself. does the alram go off randomly or only when you open the door? do the locks go up or down on their own?
