b3 passt vr6 any diff then b4?
my 94 passat vr6’s head gasket blew and the timing belt has broken. the engine is warped beyond re-machining. i found a low miles reasonably priced vr6 from a 95 passat vr6 (b4).
is this engine saw possible? are there any critical differences between the two? i just want my car to work again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

late and i am frustrated about this goddam vehicle. i paid 2,000 @ 95,000 miles and have put in 2,500 already. >:-()

b3 passt vr6 any diff then b4? – B3 versus B4 is mostly a platform difference. The engine block should be the same. The best way to find out is to check the part numbers as the VR6 engine does have several types.
