Skippers Wanted – She didn’t enter a message, just a topic. Now the page looks all funny.

we gotta have someone smartier than me design these pages.

Skippers Wanted – By the way, not about the smartier part, just the help part.

Skippers Wanted – lol! I could use a hand… another fellow also volunteered… I’ll email you both and see if a re-design is in order!

…and I got what you meant the first time!

Skippers Wanted – It’s obvious she’s a serious Barbie enthusiast looking for Skippers to fill out her collection. She just stumbled into the wrong site. Or so the woman of my house speculates.

    Skippers Wanted – Skippers Wanted
We need Captains! Texas Charters offers Captained charters for almost all sail and power charters, starlight and dinner cruises, and private parties. Below lists the requirements:

Minimum USCG Six-Pack, Master’s to 50 tons preferred
3 years experience on sail or power vessels
    Neat, clean appearance
American Red Cross First Aid and CPR current
You will be required to attend and qualify in all TSS Powerboat Courses (Skippers are contract labor; you will be required to attend classes at your cost but you may be reimbursed for these costs after an appropriate number of charters.)
You will be required to purchase Texas Charters uniform shirts at our cost. (Roughly $20)

    What’s it pay?
Good question; you will receive 20% of the boat charter rate but no less than $75 per full day. For example, if a client charters a 34′ sailboat for a full, nine-hour day, your pay is $77 plus any tips you receive from the client. No, you won’t get rich doing small boat charters, but clients tend to return to a bigger boat and almost always request the same skipper.

If you are interested in applying, please call us or send email via the Feedback page.
