It’s not just the VW company it’s the Dealers!

I had a 95 Jetta GLS I put a new belt on it and the vehicle was not running right after that and the CEL came on. It have lots of power loss so I took it to a dealer they stated that I needed a mass air flow. $650.00. So I got a new used one from a junk yard $35.00 , but no change in the performance. Put the old one back on, Went to a different dealer they stated that the timing was off by five. Its the dealers.

It’s not just the VW company it’s the Dealers! – All right.

But your statement implies that both dealers were bad. If the second dealer diagnosed the problem correctly, then really, your statement should be Dealer A sucked, don’t go to Dealer A ever again.

This brings up something I’ve been thinking about.

This is a new topic, so let’s move it to there, shall we?
    Dealership experiences database?

It’s not just the VW company it’s the Dealers! – So you had a ‘95 Jetta GLS, then you got an ‘01 Jetta VR6. Dealers or no, you seem to like Jettas.

Who put the new belt on? The different dealer (also VW?) diagnosed correctly: an improperly installed belt that threw timing.

I’m not entirely sure what you’re complaining about at this point.
