Remap – 1. Remapping or “”chipping”" a car can void your warranty. Be aware of this, first and foremost. You “”pay to play”".
    2. It does not damage the engine. TDI remaps typically do not increase maximum power to a large degree. Instead, the amount of torque generated can be enhanced. I am not aware of the options for the new PD TDI engines concerning remaps — they may enhance the engine’s characteristics differently.

Remap – Upsolute is the only major chiptuner that has chips for the TDI. And note, Upsolute chips are legal and supported by VW dealers in Germany (sadly, VWoA has a different policy).

The site will show you the nearest Upsolute rep from you, and you can contact the rep via email with your questions.

Price is $300-$350, and the PD115 gets upgraded to 160HP (torque goes from 230 to 290 ft. lb.! ah, diesel).
