2006 New Beetle facelift shots

Hmm… I’m not sure about the angularization going on here.

What’s up with the whole “”body lines are in”" thing!?

hard – to notice a difference on the outside. i have seen pics of the interior, which is drastic in differences.

didnt notice the interior pic – thats not the one ive seen, it looks like the new jettas interior. i didnt even notice that about the steering wheel….boy, you should be a goalie, as not much gets by you.

2006 New Beetle facelift shots – Refreshing is one thing, ruining the lines is another. As mentioned, a Votex or Votex-inspired kit upgrade as standard would have sufficed.

Note: the Turbo S was a Votex-inspired “”redesign”".

Drastic? Changes aren’t at all numerous for the driver instruments, and what little there is makes no sense.

    1. Why is the third spoke on the steering wheel the only one that’s black? All three were chrome paints, and having all three matte black is fine, too, but what’s with just one of them painted black and the other two remain chrome?

    2. The indigo backlighting for the mileage counter is now Audi red. The rest of it remains indigo. See point 1 for a similar WHAT THE HELL.

    3. Oh neat, still working on cup holder. They were never useful under the console and they never will be. I liked the swing out idea, they needed to work on that more.

The exterior changes ruin the simple curves of the initial design. The Votex bumper kit would have been a better call.

agreeing with paul – paul your right. there isnt much difference. its a redesign not an all new car. its what vw likes to refer as a freshening
