Security System will not disarm – All right, let’s go over this again.
There were no problems starting the car before you dropped the key in a puddle of water, correct? You don’t have a spare or valet key to see if the car can start at all? Right now, I couldn’t tell you if it was your key or something happened to your ignition system and it’s just a coincidence it occurred after you immersed your remote in water.

Security System will not disarm – If that is the case then there shouldn’t be anything wrong with the car itself, just your key. I would just get a new key issued out to you. Unfortunately, this’ll probably set you back a few hundred. Still, not as expensive as the new keys these days that work in your pocket to open doors and start the car. Imagine dropping THAT. My boss has a Saab 9-3 with such a key and he mentioned getting a replacement would cost him around $400!
