VW Representative???
A long, drawn-out story about my VW. I purchased the car in 2006 as a CPO from McDonald’s Automotive in Littleton, CO. I have taken it back to them about 10 times in the last 18 mths. Various problems have occurred including: Electrical Issues, Loss of Power, Failure to start, Windows falling, etc. etc. etc. Currently the car has 29,002 miles on it and sits in my garage as an overpriced, novelty garage filler. I purchased the car at 5,400m and was told it was Certified Pre-owned. Not only that, it was pulled from the exact spot where every other CPO is located. Come to find out it’s not CPO; what a shock. About two weeks ago I noticed a tremendous loss of power/acceleration. I took it to the shop and the want $2,000 dollars to replace my clutch/flywheel assembly. I can understand that this is a wear & tear part, but the fact that I’ve been driving manual autos since I first learned to drive, leads me to believe this is a manufacturing defect; not to mention the previous problems with the car. I called a several smaller shops to see what they would charge me and everyone told me to call the Colorado VW Representative, because I shouldn’t have to pay for that. However, no one knows how to get a hold of this person. Does anyone know where I can find information on the representatives??? VW’s website isn’t very helpful unless you wish to pay your bill or get free posters. Thanks to anyone who could possibly help
